Just passing the notorious Point Conception. No wind, just ocean swells. Once in a while, a big swell caught us by surprise. Fortunately, the only damage so far is a coffee mug. Having done this exact trip two years ago on our previous sailboat, we are loving the ride this time. Nordhavn 62, rocks!

Sounds like this rounding of Pt. Conception was less eventful that the one on Blue Moon in the middle of the night two years ago.
Yeah Bill. I remembered it well. Although Channel islands are still unfriendly in the winter, just as we remembered.
I read that this particular location is rough. All of my boating has been in the gulf of Mexico so far, and I have not experienced the Pacific coast yet.
