Pacific crossing D14 – Anchored!

08.54.935S / 140.06.018W Quick update – we are safely anchored in Taiohae harbor in Nuku Hiva, Marquesas with at least 15 lbs of fresh Ahi Tuna in the frig. We will write a longer blog post on the final data for the trip and a few pictures – first the champagne and sashimi.

Congratulations! Please be careful. I am sure you are aware a fellow sailor disappeared in 2011 to a Tahitian “guide” that killed him, either cannabilism or at the least, foul play! Good luck, great adventures, be safe, keep blogging!!!!

We have tons of canned food and frozen meat left. With the help of a couple (ND dreamers) we met at Cabo, we really loaded up on those with the vision that we will continue consuming them for the rest of the trip in SP. Our fresh supply supported us nicely for more than two weeks. We bought veggies and fruits that can keep well, like cabbages, carrots, celery, apples. With green bags and some refrigeration, they are still fresh.

Congratulations! Great stuff! Thank you for positive comments about Nordhavn and for making us look. We are appreciative and very proud of you… (and envious). You will LOVE Fatu Hiva. Amazingly, I spent a few weeks on your boat in 1997 (when she was named FEELING) when I delivered her from Taiwan to Singapore. I loved her then as much as you love her now.
